The four shots below are what's called to High Dynamic Range images, basically layered images of the same scene at 3 or more different exposures sandwiched together to get maximum tonal range through out the image. In the case of these four, I have gone a step further in processing, boosting the saturation and contrast to bring out the subtle color and textures that the human eye would otherwise pass right over.

Fuel Station of Yesteryear.

I came across this Conoco fuel station in the town of Shamrock, TX while on a road trip over New Years. The architecture and neon lights reminds me of the buildings we saw in the movie, "Cars".  Shamrock is located just of hwy 40, which incidentally traces the same tracks as the original Route 66, the mother road.
